Reach the summit of Mount Kinabalu, kayak over river-rapids, explore deep dark caves, search for wildlife such as the orangutan and pygmy elephant along the sublime kinabatangan river – this is a wild outdoor adventure that is suitable for all ages, and is highly recommended for families and groups.

Day 1: Kota Kinabalu / Briefing & Bike Fitting/ overnight @ City Center Hotel (L,D) (Acco)

Welcome to Borneo! On day 1 of your holidays, relax and get acclimatised to the city. Our guides will meet you and give you a briefing about the Adventure Tour you are about to embark on. They will also assist you in a bike fitting, for maximum ease and comfort. Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant and sample some of Malaysia’s famous and delicious dishes. Overnight at city center hotel.

Day 2 : Kota Kinabalu / Kiulu Bike & Raft/Kayak / overnight @ Celyn Resort (B,L,D) (Acco)

kayaking kiulu Enjoy an early breakfast, before checking out of your hotel at 0730hrs for transfer to the top of Kampung Kokol hill by vehicle. Ride a narrow single track which takes you through the jungle. The riders will carry or push their bikes over rough terrain. You will witness the breath taking scenery of mountains, forests and local plantations along the way. The journey will lead you down a long steep descent to Kiulu village. Riders will pass the countryside road before a break for lunch at the rafting ending point. At about 1300hrs you will be transferred to the starting point at Kg. Pukak for white water kayaking. Kayak along through the cool, clear water, but don’t forget to brace yourselves for the exciting and lively rapids. Try body rafting, take a swim and participate in paddling. The white water experience will last about 1hr 30mins. Then, transfer to Celyn Resort @ Kinabalu Park for overnight stay.

Day 3 : Mount Kinabalu Ascent / overnight @ Mountain Hut – 3,272metres above sea level (B,L,D) (Acco)

mt kinabaluWake up early, enjoy breakfast and depart to Mesilau. Proceed to the Mesilau Office to register for the climb. You’ll then be transferred to starting point at Mesilau Gate where the challenge of conquering Mt. Kinabalu begins. A mountain guide will accompany you as you climb up tree roots that form a series of steps (at 2500m above sea-level). A simple packed lunch will be provided on the way. Proceed climbing until you reach Laban Rata on the upper slopes of Mount Kinabalu. Dinner and overnight stay at the Mountain Hut.

Day 4 : Mount Kinabalu Low’s Peak / Descent / Poring Hot Springs / overnight @ Celyn Resort (B,L,D) (Acco)

At 0200hrs, take a light breakfast. By 0300hrs, start the ascent to the summit by torch light and arrive in time to witness the beautiful sunrise over Sabah Region from the highest Peak in south East Asia (4,101m 13,455 feet). After admiring the majestic views, we will begin the descent back to Laban Rata where you can enjoy a fuller breakfast before you descend back down to Kinabalu Park through Timpohon Gate. Then, proceed for lunch and to Poring Hot Springs which lies on the southern boundary of the park. Open-air bathtubs fed by a sulphurous under-ground spring offer gentle relief for tired muscles and are believed to have therapeutic properties. For those with energy to spare, there’s a canopy walkway through the lowland rain forest. Free to relax or explore at you own leisure. Dinner and overnight @ Celyn Resort.

Day 5 : Kinabalu Park / Sukau, Bilit / overnight @ Kinabatangan Jungle Camp (B,L,D) (Acco)

Transfer overland to Kinabatangan Jungle Camp for 5hrs, followed by short 20mins boat ride to the Camp. Here, enjoy a delicious lunch and refreshments before the 3.30pm afternoon cruise . Along the river, you can spot many animals grazing, lazing and socializing, including crocodiles, snakes, exotic birds, monkeys and even pygmy elephants if you’re lucky! After the cruise, a sumptuous buffet dinner will be served. Then, you are free at leisure to enjoy the surroundings, explore or relax. Later, take a night cruise – the “Million Star Cruise” – to spot nocturnal wildlife lurking around the river. Don’t forget to look up at the sky to witness why they call it the “Million Star Cruise”! Overnight at KJC.

Day 6 : KJC / Gomantong / Sepilok Orang Utan / POW Memorial / Flight to KK / overnight @ City Center Hotel (B,L,D) (Acco)

Before breakfast, rise early for a morning river cruise to experience the ambiance of the river wildlife at this time. We will then transfer to the jetty where our transport will be waiting to take you to Gomantang Cave. Here, witness thousands of bats hanging from the inner rock face, as well as millions of cockroaches, this is not your conventional holidays in Borneo. After exploring the caves, transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Upon arrival, proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform for the feeding of the Orangutans. At the center, we will have the opportunity to observe man’s closest relative, the Orangutan, being rehabilitated to be returned back into their natural habitat. You will also have the opportunity to experience a walk in the Tropical Dipterocarp forest of Borneo.
