Pulau Tiga “SURVIVOR ISLAND”
How dirty can you get in Borneo? Take a jungle trek to the volcanic mud pool on Survivor Island, dive in head first and bask in the thick, bubbling mud – you can’t get much dirtier than that! Allow the mud to dry and work its magic on your skin as you descend the trail back to the beach, then let the lapping ocean waves rinse it all off , leaving your skin supple and smooth…
Duration: 2 days 1 night
Day 1: Kota Kinabalu/Pulau Tiga Resort
On day one, at about 0730hrs, we will pick you up from your hotel and assemble at Kuala Penyu Jetty. At 1000hrs, we take the 30minute boat ride to Pulau Tiga. Upon arrival, you will check-into your respective rooms before having lunch. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to trek to the mud Volcano Site to experience the thrill of swimming through the bubbling dirt. Get dirty and challenge your friends to a MUD FIGHT! Or you can lay back and relax as you float across the surface of the pool, allowing the mud to envelope you and work it’s spa magic. After the cleansing volcanic experience, you are free to take part in activities and explore the wonders of Survivor Island at your leisure.
Day 2: Pulau Tiga Resort/Klias River Cruise/Kota Kinabalu
On day two, we will enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, after which you are free at your own leisure until departure time at 0900hrs, or 1400hrs for Kuala Penyu and for other optional activities (1400hrs check out subject to additional RM35 fee). The optional activities are as follows; Snake Island, scuba diving, snorkeling or kayaking (direct payment at the resort is required for all water sports). There is also the option of taking part in the Klias River Cruise after returning from Pulau Tiga – at around 3pm, enjoy a light tea before boarding a comfortable fibre glass boat in search of wildlife such as Borneo’s Proboscis Monkey. As the sun sets, see thousands of fireflies light up the trees like stars. Return to the jetty to enjoy a delicious Malay dinner.
