Our Wildlife cruise to Kinabatangan jungle camp will allow you to experience the amazing diversity of animal and plant species in Borneo, from exotic plants and birds to the primates that live amongst the trees on the river bank. Elephants, proboscis monkeys, orang-utan, snakes, kingfishers, bats, owls, macaques and crocodiles are just some of the amazing species you will have the opportunity to witness in their natural habitat. Our experienced guides will share their wealth of knowledge about the ecosystem and all the different species of animals and plants in Kinabatangan. This tour also gives the nature enthusiast the opportunity to experience the nocturnal wildlife after dark on an evening jungle trek and river cruise. Kinabatangan Jungle camp is a must for animal enthusiasts, wilderness explorers, wildlife photographers and bird-watchers.

2Days 1Night Kinabatangan River Cruise Safari

Day 1 Sandakan – Kinabatangan Lodge (B/L/D)

On day one, we will pick you up from Sandakan Airport and proceed to the Kinabatangan Jetty, which takes approximately a 1hr drive. Once there, we will board a boat for a 30mins ride to Kinabatangan Jungle Camp, where you will then be required to check-in. There will be time to relax, enjoy light refreshments, and settle in at the lodge before the afternoon wildlife cruise. At approximately 1600hrs, we will begin the river cruise in search of wildlife such as the Proboscis Monkey, the Borneo Pygmy Elephants, gibbons, macaques and a variety of exotic birds which can be spotted amongst the trees along the river bank. After the wildlife cruise, we will return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner. You will have the opportunity to take part in a nature night walk and after-dark river cruise to enjoy the nocturnal species residing in the jungle, before returning to the lodge for your overnight stay.

Day 2 Kinabatangan / Sandakan Town / Airport (B)

Wake up to the call of Gibbon and hornbills before taking an early morning river cruise on the oxbow lake to experience the early morning ambiance of the longest river in Sabah. Return to the Lodge for breakfast before checking out at 1000hrs.An optional visit to Gomantong Cave is offered- a limestone cave where almost two million bats make their home, as well as thousands of swiflets- before returning to Sandakan Airport for departure back to Kota Kinabalu.

3Days 2Nights Orang Utan & Kinabatangan Safari Package

Day 1, Kinabatangan Jungle Lodge

Day 2, Kinabatangan – Full Day

Wake up to the call of Gibbons and hornbills, before taking an earlymorning river cruise to the oxbow lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning ambiance of the longest river in Sabah. Return to the Lodge for breakfast, after which you will have the opportunity to embark on a challenging or more easy-going trek with the guide. At 1200 hrs, lunch will be served at the lodge. You will then have time to take a rest before the afternoon walk. A delicious dinner will be served before you return to the lodge for your overnight stay. You will have the chance to take part in an optional night cruise across the river, in search of wildlife that is active after the sun goes down.

Day 3 Sepilok Orang Utan – Airport

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, approximately 2hrs drive away. We then proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform at 1000hrs to witness the feeding of the Orangutans.At the center, we will have the opportunity to observe man’s closest relative- the Orang utan- in their natural habitat. You will also have the opportunity to experience a walk in the Tropical Dipterocarp forest of Borneo, to witness some of Malaysia’s diverse botanical nature. We will then check out and take a delightful city tour before returning you to the Airport for departure back to Kota Kinabalu.
